Chairman

Rev. Wong Kim Kong, J.M.N.

A former secretary-general of NECF Malaysia, Rev. Wong currently serves as consultant to churches and Christian organisations in his capacity as:

  1. → Founding Principal Consultant of Leadership Transformation Academy;
  2. → Chairman of ASEAN Transform World Movement;
  3. → Adviser to 30 international & national Christian organisations and churches; and
  4. → Adjunct lecturer in leadership institutes in USA and Asia.

Among his many past positions are Vice Chairman of the International Council of World Evangelical Alliance, Founding Chairman & Executive Director of Malaysian CARE, Principal Secretary of CFM and Deputy Secretary General of MCCBCHST.

Rev. Wong worships at Diakonia Christian Church, Rawang, where he is a Senior Elder. He has a degree in Economics & Diploma in Education from University Malaya. His life and ministry have been documented on Good TV Taiwan, Creation TV Hong Kong, My Hope Project of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Who’s Who Malaysia, magazines and newspapers.

Vice-Chairman

Lee Min Choon

An advocate and solicitor, Lee Min Choon is Chairman of Advocates International (a worldwide Christian lawyers’ association) as well as Chairman of its Asian chapter. Locally, he serves as an Exco member of The Bible Society of Malaysia and Elder of his church, The Life Chapel, Petaling Jaya.

Min Choon’s past services include:

  1. → President of Bible Society of Malaysia;
  2. → Member, United Bible Societies Asia Pacific Regional Board;
  3. → Member, Selangor and Federal Territory Bar Committee; and
  4. → Member, Bar Council Malaysia.

Besides a law degree from University Malaya, Min Choon has a Master of Christian Studies from Malaysia Bible Seminary.

Edwin Agong

A corporate consultant, Edwin recently received the 2015 CEO award for the BEST (Bangunkan Ekonomi Sabah dan Sarawak Demi Transformasi) under the Prime Minister’s Department. He is an advisor to STCC Initiative for Sarawak, and President of the Metropolitan Community Centre KL.

Edwin’s active ministry involvement includes positions as:

  1. → Deputy President of Gerakan Anti Perkauman (GAP), Malaysia;
  2. → Chairman of Good News Mission International;
  3. → Committee Member (BM Commission) of NECF Malaysia; and
  4. → Senior minister of his church, SIB Metropolitan Community.

Previously, Edwin was Chairman of Vastolex Corporation; treasurer of PBB (Parti Pesaka Bumiputra) Youth, Bakalalan, Sarawak; Chairman of Zone 2 of the SIB Semenanjung Church, among others. Edwin holds a Master of Arts (Jakarta) Bachelor of Theology (Malaysia), Advance and Diploma in Law (UK).

Sreedhar Subramaniam

A well-known figure in the communications and media industry, having been in the industry for the last 17 years, Sreedhar is currently the President & CEO of Asian Broadcasting Network (M) Sdn Bhd. Among his past positions:

  • → CEO of The Malaysian Insider and BRIS Information Services Sdn Bhd;
  • → CTO and Executive Director of Efficient E-Solutions Bhd, COO of Natseven TV Sdn Bhd (ntv7); and
  • → Director of Encorp Group Sdn Bhd.

Prior to the media industry, Sreedhar was a senior manager at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. Sreedhar is a facilitator with Haggai Institute, and Certified Trainer and Consultant for Character First (for families, schools, government and private sectors) as well as Austral-Asia Regional Coordinator for ALERT Cadet Programme (for fathers and sons). He previously served in senior leadership positions in his church, Glad Tidings AOG, Petaling Jaya.

Grace Hee

Formerly the Safety, Health & Environmental Manager of ExxonMobil Malaysia, Grace Hee is currently a consultant to a publicly-listed company. She also sits on the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) sub-committee on safety and health.

Her current ministry services include:

  • → Chairperson of Women’s Commission, NECF Malaysia;
  • → Overseer of corporate ministries and a senior leader in a local church  at PJ.
  • → Advisor to the South-east Asia Prayer Consultation.

Grace was Chairperson of NECF Malaysia Prayer Commission (2000-2006). She holds an engineering degree from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

Caroline Soon

Caroline is the Strategic Account Director of a US-based leasing company. A committed lay Catholic from the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur, she spent many years undergoing biblical and formation programmes while raising her children. She also devotes her time and resources in reaching out to the underprivileged. Passionate about evangelism, Caroline has been involved in the Alpha programme since 2003. Together with a team of committed Catholics, they have brought Alpha to numerous dioceses in Asia and are responsible for the spread of Alpha in the Catholic context in many countries in Asia.

Dr. Chieng Lee Chong

A general medical practitioner, Lee Chong has an active work, ministry and social profile. Among others, he is currently Perak Juvenile Court Advisor; Chairman of Board of Visitor, Hospital Seri Manjung; Vice President 1 of Malaysian Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis; and Physician in charge of Manjung Dialysis Centre. He sits on the Board of Governors of ACS Sitiawan, ACPS Sitiawan and ACS Lumut; and is President of Chieng Association. He worships at Wesley Church Sitiawan where he is LCEC Member, Membership and Evangelism Chairman and Youth Counsellor.

Mutang Tagal

A practising lawyer since 1982, Mutang Tagal is a partner in three legal firms: Mutang and Sam in Miri, Sarawak; Mutang, Bojeng & Chai in Kuching, Sarawak; and Khaled, Mutang, Chan & Lim in Kuala Lumpur. He is also a businessman.
Mutang was a two-term Member of Parliament for Bukit Mas (elected in 1982 and 1986), a member of PBB Supreme Council (1982-1990) and a member of the Federal Public Accounts Committee (1986-1990).

He obtained his law degree from University Malaya; Licentiate in Theology from Australian College of Theology; and Master of Business Administration from Curtin University. He worships at BEM ARC in Miri, Sarawak.

Joshua Hong

Joshua is the producer at Soul Works, a Christian music label. To date, he has produced more than 15 Chinese Christian albums. Joshua is actively involved in youth work, serving as a youth worker and youth ministry consultant since 1998.

His current ministry involvement includes positions as:

  • → Immediate  Past President of Malaysian Christian Youth Association;
  • → Committee member of Eight Major Chinese Youth-based Organisation;
  • → Chairman of Soul Works Foundation; and
  • → Board member of First Assembly of God Church KL.

Joshua holds a diploma in Sound Engineering from School of Audio Engineering in Singapore. He began his theological education at Malaysia Bible Seminary and is currently doing his MA in Pentecostal Studies from Synergy Institute in Leadership Hong Kong.
